"Unknown by means of words"
I'll go ahead and say it: I'm not a cat. I like them a lot, I hope that suffices.
I'm also not a web developer. I'm not any kind of developer. What you see here is the result of 2 strenuous days of html messing-arounding. I see on my dashboard the possibility to edit a ".css" file. I also can't say I know what CSS is but, from what I gather, it seems to be related to whatever makes y'all's sites look good. Mine looks like this. I reckon it will continue to look like this for a while. A "while" might be forever. Heck, forever might only be a couple weeks.
I'm notorious (among the voices in my head) for dropping projects. The projects I drop become part of a big, overarching, constantly ongoing project of organizing every project I've dropped. I like the concept of archiving. Subdividing, naming, organizing. I'm really bad at it. Between my home PC, a couple USB drives, my MacBook, and my phone, my project is scattered. My life in writing. Poems, short-stories, essays, half-started books. All of it is me. In each one of this storage devices, individually, this life is passably organized. As a whole, it's a mess.
I bought a 1TB drive with the intention of uniting everything on the same place. I'm yet to do it. I'm yet to do lots of things. Let's not get into it right now.
I hope my thoughts can find a home here. Some of them at least. Web-hosting is a total mystery to me. I hate what I saw of Wordpress. I like what I saw of nekoweb.org. I've never heard of "Neocities". I don't feel like looking it up right now. I reckon it's something similar, with less identity, less personality, less authenticity, probably more corporate. I don't like that.
I found Nekoweb on X. I imagine (by the amount of likes on the post) that many of you did as well. I created my X account about a week ago. I followed PC-98 bot, I followed a few things that seemed interesting from there (8 accounts). I don't see the point in going much further for people like me. People that don't have pretty things to share, don't have petty things to defend, no cool projects, no links-to, no OCs, no announcements, no one-liners. I open the app once or twice a day and look at cool things that please me. I read a few things from people I enjoy reading. I like a couple things to save them for a later, indeterminate time. That's what happened when the Nekoweb release post appeared on by page. I saved it to see if it was as interesting as it seemed and if I would try to make my site-blog-thing on it. The later time is now, it is, and I'm doing it.
I would like to add a message board similar to what dimden has at the bottom of their page, I haven't a single clue how to do it. It seems pretty complicated. For now, if you wish to help me, you can head to this recently created for this purpose Discord Server. I made it so this invite link never expires. Nice. If anyone can help me create a button for the discord on the page I would also be grateful. I would also like if the post didn't span the entire width of the page. I'll post the entire html code for this on the #help-me channel on Discord, have fun with it.
This is all for now, see you.
